A sweet, enjoyable story with heart。 I loved the teenage angst that is high school in this book。 I thought it was believable and relatable。 Nicely done。I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review。

Perfect Little Flaws by Jennifer Ann Shore - 4 stars。。。。。This book was short and sweet and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I am a sucker for high school romances every once in a while and this one did the trick。。。。。。The romance was enemies to lovers in a way。 From the summary of the book, we already kind of got this idea when Maren described Vince。 I loved Maren's stubbornness at the beginning of the novel because it reminded me of myself。 Although we could notice Vince's interest in her, Maren quickly Perfect Little Flaws by Jennifer Ann Shore - 4 stars。。。。。This book was short and sweet and I thoroughly enjoyed it! A beautiful an emotional story about grief, friendship, family, and dreams coming true。 The death of her beloved brother Jake, a famous soccer player, has affected Maren’s life more than she knows。 Can another future soccer start help heal her heart?I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily。

Jennifer Ann Shore writes some of the best high school romances I’ve ever read。 She does it again in her newest novel, Perfect Little Flaws。 I loved The Stillness Before the Start so much I had a book hangover for a month。 So, getting to read about old favorites from that book made my day even more special。 I started reading right before bed, thinking I could read until I fell asleep。 Well, I finished it before sleep found me。 I couldn’t put it down。Maren is the sweetest girl。 Her world shattere Jennifer Ann Shore writes some of the best high school romances I’ve ever read。 She does it again in her newest novel, Perfect Little Flaws。 I loved The Stillness Before the Start so much I had a book hangover for a month。 So, getting to read about old favorites from that book made my day even more special。 I started reading right before bed, thinking I could read until I fell asleep。 Well, I finished it before sleep found me。 I couldn’t put it down。Maren is the sweetest girl。 Her world shattered to bits when her brother died in a freak accident。 Watching her work through her grief made my heart swell。 I love how Vince’s kind-hearted influence helped Maren work through her pain。 And, the secondary characters are as wonderful as Maren and Vince。This emotional novel put me through my paces。 But, this emotion just proved how connected to these characters I was。 I would be remiss if I didn’t encourage other adults to read this tome。 The audience of high schoolers will love this book。 However, living the teenage experience will help you feel closer to the young people in your life。Jennifer Ann Shore provided a paperback copy of this novel with a request for an honest review。 。。。more

This is a quick, cute teen romance。 The major characters feel real, if a bit too perfect。 I related to a lot of Maren's inner dialogue and internal struggle。However, it could have been better。 The writing suffered from explaining rather than showing, especially when it came to the main character's emotions。 The parents felt like cardboard cutouts of irredeemable soul crushers instead of three-dimensional people。 The conflict fizzled out without ever reaching a proper climax。 And I felt like the This is a quick, cute teen romance。 The major characters feel real, if a bit too perfect。 I related to a lot of Maren's inner dialogue and internal struggle。However, it could have been better。 The writing suffered from explaining rather than showing, especially when it came to the main character's emotions。 The parents felt like cardboard cutouts of irredeemable soul crushers instead of three-dimensional people。 The conflict fizzled out without ever reaching a proper climax。 And I felt like the main message got muddled toward the end, which might confuse young, impressionable readers。So while it was a nice, light read and I enjoyed it, there are better teen romances out there。I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily。 。。。more

Flawless。Jennifer Ann Shore has a way of making the smallest moments seem important。Like bread crumbs flaking off a hoagie, the barest brush of his knuckles against hers, and little things that always seem amplified at the beginning of friendships and relationships。My heart ached for Maren。 When her brother died, she lost more than him。 She lost her parents, on an emotional level, and herself。Reading her find herself again was beautiful。

Shore's novels hit me EVERY time! I have not read one that I haven't liked, this one included。 Maren is a character with so much depth, like her photography。 She is hiding behind this mask that so many of us do and it takes a persistent, yet gentle, human to come along and free her face。 She is best friends with Andy who is just a darn gem! And of course Vince, soccer superstar and hottie may I add。 Every person has a small flaw, even in the masks they wear。 No one is perfect and finding that li Shore's novels hit me EVERY time! It took flawed characters in a flawed setting with flawed families, and made the plot beautiful and entrancing。 I was sucked in for the long haul。 I can't wait to see what Shore writes and releases next!5/5 stars! 100% recommend to the nice summer like reads! **I received a copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily! 。。。more

I loved this book even though I’m way past high school。 It’s a good, clean delightful read。 There are no mean girls, no bullying, just young people trying to negotiate their way after life changing events。 I was drawn to both Maren and Jake, feeling emotionally invested in their lives and achievements。I would happily pay to read more by this author despite that I received an ARC for free。 I am leaving this review voluntarily。

For fans of movies like "10 Things I Hate About You" this is the perfect book。 Maren and Vince are not friends。 They have nothing in common except soccer, which Maren wants NOTHING to do with anymore after her brother dies in a horrific college accident。 Her parents don't understand her, and Vince is the perfect jock with everyone and their mother fawning all over him。 Except for Maren。Maren is the misunderstood school newspaper photographer and the whole school knows what happened to her soccer For fans of movies like "10 Things I Hate About You" this is the perfect book。 Maren and Vince are not friends。 They have nothing in common except soccer, which Maren wants NOTHING to do with anymore after her brother dies in a horrific college accident。 Her parents don't understand her, and Vince is the perfect jock with everyone and their mother fawning all over him。 Except for Maren。Maren is the misunderstood school newspaper photographer and the whole school knows what happened to her soccer star older brother。 They've got a shrine to him at the school, and in her house, thanks to her parents。 And all she wants is to take photos and be left alone to eat ice cream with Andy, her BFF。 You can almost see the writing on the wall with this storyline, but how can you not leave a guaranteed HEA? It was a fun and easy read and it put me right back in high school for a short while。 I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a feel-good romance that deals (in an artful way) with some tough subject matter。 Four stars in my book and I am now currently hunting down some more fun and easy read from Jennifer Ann Shore on Kindle Unlimited this summer while I sit by my neighbor's pool, cause it's hot AF in Texas, y'all! 。。。more

I’m 40% into this book and I’m seriously questioning if this is a romance book。 Maren and Vince have spoken about four or five times。 She has reluctantly taken his picture under duress for the school paper twice and she has been a total bitch。 Even now I’m 70% into this book and they haven’t even kissed。 These kids are definitely not from the Heights or maybe even this planet。 The death of her brother has changed Maren’s life and her parents are in the Twilight zone and treat her like crap。 80% I’m 40% into this book and I’m seriously questioning if this is a romance book。 Maren and Vince have spoken about four or five times。 She has reluctantly taken his picture under duress for the school paper twice and she has been a total bitch。 Even now I’m 70% into this book and they haven’t even kissed。 These kids are definitely not from the Heights or maybe even this planet。 The death of her brother has changed Maren’s life and her parents are in the Twilight zone and treat her like crap。 80% into this book and I’m confused because he’s confessed the real reason he came to her school senior year and it’s outrageously stupid。 If anyone had left his old school it should have been the adult, and the destination should have been prison。 This book was just unrealistic but I’m sure the kids will like it。 I’m giving it four stars and highly recommend this young adult read。 。。。more
